Do I need a kiteboarding lesson?

Kiteboarding is considered an extreme sport, and while we feel that our instructors and employees go out of our way to make purchasing instructions that allow our customers to make safe and educated decisions, we cannot be held liable for any decisions or actions that could harm or injure the customer or anyone else using the gear. The average student takes 9 hours of instruction over the course of three days. We recommend that EVERYONE takes at least 1 shallow water kiteboarding lesson before they attempt to use the gear on their own. Failure to do so could result in injury or death. While we feel like kiteboarding is a relatively safe sport, improper use of the equipment or lack of instruction can be devastating to you or your surroundings.

Do I need a paddleboarding lesson?

Paddleboard instruction is the fastest way to get comfortable paddling on a SUP. While lessons are recommended, they are by no means necessary. Paddleboards are very intuitive to pick up with very little instruction, however our instructors cover more beginner to advanced paddle techniques such as paddle strokes, pivot turns and surf techniques. Remember, when sharing a surf break with surfers, your SUP is much more dangerous than a surfboard and you should leave plenty of room for prone surfers to catch waves too and always abide by local surf etiquette.

Can I choose a color?

For orders including kiteboarding kites, harnesses, wetsuits and boards, some colors may vary. If there is not a color choice option please email your color requests to shop@kitepaddlesurf.com. Be sure to include your Order # and we will get it sorted out right away.

Can I return or exchange an item?

You have 30 days to return any purchase for a refund, store credit, or exchange. Go to Returns and Exchange Info for more information.

My order was damaged in shipment. What should I do?

Any shipping damage must be reported within 4 days of delivery. Contact us at shop@kitepaddlesurf.com or 360-775-2741, we will be happy to assist you. To help us serve you better, please take photos of the damages, including damage to the packaging and detailed pictures of damage to any items. Please also keep all packaging materials, you may need them later.

What happens if something I just bought goes on sale?

We offer a one-time price adjustment if an item is marked down within ten days of the purchase. To get a price adjustment on your purchase, you must call 360-775-2741, or email us at shop@kitepaddlesurf.com. Include your order number in your email message. We will refund you the difference in a KPS Gift Card.

Is it safe to order online?

Yes. The Kite Paddle Surf Online Store uses industry-standard encryption to protect the confidentiality of the information you submit when placing an order. Please check our Privacy Policy for more info.

Your privacy is very important to us. Your personally-identifiable information, including your credit card information, is encrypted for maximum security, and your credit card and billing information cannot be revealed to a third-party as it is transmitted to our ordering system, or to anyone attempting to access Kite Paddle Surf’s website remotely. Kite Paddle Surf  assures you that it has implemented the requisite physical, electronic and managerial processes to prevent unauthorized access to its customer accounts and to maintain data security. We will never share your information with anyone.

How do I start a warranty claim?

A warranty claim is initiated by emailing a digital photo of the damaged gear, description of the damage, how the damage occurred, the product's serial number, and your original invoice to shop@kitepaddlesurf.com. Customer Service Department will assist you with filing a claim with the appropriate manufacturer. You are responsible for shipping charges for returned product.
