Leave it to Ozone to go outside the box of what is the norm and create a Wing that is like no other Wing on the market today. The V1 Fusion wing designed around the high-performance platform of the Flux, including the pre-loaded leading edge, which is made with stiff performance Dacron. The V1 Fusion is a 100% double surface ram air design creating an enclosed high-pressure space between the entire upper and lower surfaces. The internal rib structure supports both sail layers and helps the wing smoothly deal with dynamic pressure differentials when the wing’s angle-of-attack changes.

REDUCING DRAG
When the air travels over a wing it splits at the stagnation point on the leading edge. While the air that runs along the top surface has a clean and continuous surface to follow, the airflow on the bottom of a single surface wing creates vortices behind the leading edge. This turbulent underside flow creates drag which reduces performance.

It is suitable for experienced intermediate riders and beyond who are proficient at tacking and gybing, sending and landing airs confidently and who have reached a level where they don’t regularly have major, out of control wipeouts.

Features

• Air Intake Valves - Inspired from wingsuits, they allow air to enter into the internals. They have been specifically designed to keep water out by using a valve system.
  
• Water Drainage Holes - In the rare event water does come inside the wing, there are four drainage holes on the trailing edge, two near the strut and two more on the tips.
  
• Streamlined Tip Junction - To maintain smooth aerodynamics where multiple sections are joined at the Fusion tips, the last upper and lower surface panels are split to connect to the highest and lowest point of the leading-edge tube. A closing panel is added to the split trailing edge in order to maintain even pressure inside the internals.
  
• Lower Surface Zipper - To minimize weight, the Fusion has only one zip on the lower surface that allows access to the inflate/deflate valves on the leading edge and strut. It also allows access in order to replace a bladder with no added difficulty compared to a single surface wing.
  
• Pre-Loaded Leading Edge - Using a performance Dacron material that is rigid and strong has allowed Ozone's designers to pre-load the leading edge and shape it to experience drastically less deformation under load. Combined with optimized sail shaping and horizontal panels for a tighter canopy, the Flux delivers huge aerodynamic performance gains.
• Rigid Power Handles - Ergonomically angled front and back carbon fiber handles with EVA grip provide maximum control and comfort with incredible feel and response. The front handle mount features a soft bumper to protect your head and board during water starts.
